Getting Ready

VIn 2011, we travelled 13,000 km from Toronto to the west coast of Canada on our Yamaha "Venture" motorcycle.
 
Now, 2 years later, we are heading to the east coast of Canada with the first leg of our trip taking us westward to Ohio where we will spend a weekend with fellow Venture riders after a day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. We will make our way back into Canada by way of Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. We hope to spend some time in Newfoundland and explore the Gaspe area as we make our way home through Eastern Canada, although we may adjust our route for weather. As for our Venture West trip, we will adjust our route as we go to enjoy each day as it unfolds.

I've created this Venture East blog for family and friends to keep track of  us during our meanderings across the country.  We have a new communications tool, Mini, with us on this trip.

Evan has recently put new a new tire and brakes and springs on our bike but still needs to repair the exhaust.  We will be packing much lighter as we leave Tubby behind.
